Wearing is a fundamental act of living, by which humans augment subjective expression into sociocultural domain. By an act of wearing, a person executes a ritualized process of embodiment: sociotechnical entities of materials, production process, cultural expressions are transmuted onto a personal realm. A series of design exercise invites participants to reflect on not only commonplace objects subject to wearing such as garments, but also larger environmental and civic entities at the ornamental, architectural, and social level.
